Traditional category
Panj Chor
Definition
The five thieves: kaam (desire), krodh (anger), lobh (greed), moh (attachment) and ahankar (pride). The essays use them as a diagnostic framework — "the energy-patterns that bind consciousness" — read against a character or an institution to show what fuels continued striving inside a system that has foreclosed the goal.
Attribution
A traditional category of Gurmat, the Sikh philosophical tradition — the five thieves. It is not the institute's coinage; the institute applies it as a diagnostic.
Provenance
Gurmat tradition. Applied as a diagnostic in No Key to the House (§§II–IV) and named in the SICI series statement.
